Papa,
Thank you so much for so many things
For the sacrifices you made, so many of them
For working so hard, to put bread on the table
For teaching us how to be better human beingsFor teaching us compassion
For teaching us patience
How you never failed to take leave to ferry us to school on important exams
How you took us to the best doctors for our health
How you chose to spend a chunk of your hard-earned money for our tuition
For our education
How you had bailed me out whenever I make blunders
Such as Thailand, the car
How you survived eating cheap food so we could have more
How you ensured that we're all okay before you took care of yourself
Even when you're unwell, you worried more for our comfort than yourself
Perhaps you didn't know the severity of your condition
Perhaps you didn't want to waste time away from family
How you gave us your best
And how I wished you were still here, that I may give you my best now
Alas, we will meet later in heaven
And we can spend more time getting to know each other more
Laugh and fellowship together in heaven
Now, let me take on your mantle, and bring things further
Papa, thank you for everything.
