Papa, oh papa
So many thoughts and questions fill my mind
I looked at the chain of events
Before the fateful day
When Jesus called you to Him
I asked so many "what ifs"
What if you had seen a specialist much much earlier?
What if you had seen your physician earlier?
What if we forced you to see a doctor earlier?
What if we had brought you to Singapore earlier?
What if we had picked it up earlier?
What if we...
...the questions don't end, papa.
Jesus, could you send papa to me in a dream.
Or reveal to me, the reasons...
Or at least be with me, and assure me
That we had done our best
And tell it to my face
And my ears
That it was just papa's time to go
And be be Your side.
Oh Jesus, oh Jesus.
You know I love you.
I trust You Jesus, and I love my papa
Take care of him
And I'll see you when I do, papa
You did real good here on earth.
