Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
And the same is true in the natural world - if you don't ask for something you want, you'll never get it.
What had happened was that my lovely wife and myself had some pizza cravings for dinner. We walked by a pizza shop that showed:
3 Slices of Pizza for $10.00
And I looked at her and she looked at me, and we both agreed that three slices between the two hungry, famished souls weren't going to cut it that day. So what I did was to ask the lady at the counter:
Could we have four slices for the price of $10?
She looked at me, and smiled, and said ok. But was quick to add that this time doesn't mean that she'd accept the next time. But it's true, I got what I asked for, this time.
Have you tried asking for something that you want? Go on, try it. You may get it after all.
PS: when I went back again a couple of weeks later, during the same sale again, I tried asking for four slices again, but this time she said no. =
